Andy Hunt is a nationally recognized leader in real estate education and industry engagement with nearly 20 years of experience in real estate higher education and commercial real estate. He specializes in developing and strengthening university real estate programs, building strategic industry partnerships, and guiding institutions in launching and expanding real estate education initiatives.

Andy’s impact is evident in his leadership of a top-ranked university real estate program, where he has raised more than $12 million in funding, expanded curriculum offerings and applied learning experiences, and established highly regarded student and alumni engagement initiatives. His expertise includes strategic planning, advisory board development, interdisciplinary institute creation, and strengthening connections between academia and the real estate industry to drive student success and workforce development. A passionate advocate for diversity in real estate, Andy has led and created post-graduate training programs and high school pipeline initiatives that build career pathways for underrepresented students.

As an independent consultant, he advises universities, corporations, and industry leaders on navigating institutional complexities and creating and sustaining impactful real estate programs. Andy’s consulting work includes strategic planning, coaching university real estate program leaders and advisory board members, leadership recruitment, and industry engagement. He brings a results-driven approach rooted in collaboration and servant leadership, helping institutions and stakeholders create lasting impact in real estate education.

Key accomplishments:

• Secured one of Marquette University’s largest non-capital gifts—a $10 million endowment establishing the Vieth Institute for Real Estate Leadership in 2024.

• Co-founder, Collegiate Real Estate Executive Directors (CREED) Group, connecting real estate program leaders across the nation representing thousands of students and alumni.

• NAIOP National Developing Leader Award Winner (2021) – one of only four recipients annually in a 20,000-member organization.

• Milwaukee Business Journal 40 Under 40 Winner (2021).

• Academic leader of the nationally renowned Associates in Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) Program – a 24-week training program exclusively for men and women of color in Wisconsin.

• Co-founder of the MKE CRE Summer High School Immersion Program, introducing high school students of color to careers in commercial real estate.

• Real Estate Education Faculty Award, Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation - given out to only three university leaders in history (2012)
